History

In the years following Ron's appointment in 1967, the Department of Mathematics at Dundee rose to pre-eminence as a centre for Numerical Analysis in the U.K.

A book was published in 1996 in honour of his 75th birthday. In addition to a weighty collection of research papers contributed by those connected with Ron over the years, there is also some biographical information as well as a brief account of the development of Numerical Analysis at Dundee and the Biennial Conferences.
