August 27th and 28th 2015

Tower Building, Baxter Suite 1.36, University of Dundee, Dundee, Scotland

Organisers: Dumitru Trucu and Raluca Eftimie

This workshop aims to bring together leading experts and young researchers in the areas of both porous media and theoretical and computational modeling to identify appropriate methods enabling data inversion and model calibration for complex biological processes. It is hoped that the intra-disciplinary ideas presented in this workshop will give rise to a synergetic effect in these research areas related to porous media. This should also stimulate new collaborations and potential joint grant proposals, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of the current limitations and future perspectives on mathematical modelling approaches suitable for data inversion.

This workshop is supported by the Porous Media - Processes and Mathematics (PMPM) Network and the Edinburgh Mathematical Society (EMS).
