Important Note

Please note that while I continue to play an active role at the University of Dundee and Ninewells Hospital, I have moved to the University of Southern California as of 12 August 2011.

Research Interests:

My chief interests are in mathematical biology and oncology, using computational techniques. I develop agent-based (individual-based) models at the cell scale, continuum models at the tissue scale, and multiscalar links between these approaches. I am keenly interested in developing multidisciplinary approaches that integrate in vitro, in vivo, and clinical data into mathematical models to provide patient-specific predictive tools for planning surgery and therapy.

I am also interested in solving nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations on arbitrary moving domains (e.g., in tumour growth).
